- Note: Players must have already purchased the MLB, Madden or Rocket League games. You are only registering with WPRD for the E-sport competition portion. If you don't already have the game on your operating system, it can be purchased in the online system's game store
We are very excited to be offering our second round of Esports at Home programs! In this crazy time, there are limited ways to stay in contact with your friends and families and it can be difficult to find things to occupy your time, this is were E-Sports at Home comes in to save the day! The Ultimate social distancing solution that still allows you to have fun and compete with and against your friends! E- Sports is the newest way to compete with friends and family and one of the largest growing industries in the world. E-Sports stands for Electronic Sports which is a fancy way of saying competitive video gaming. With tech advances like we have never seen before, it is easier than ever to stay in touch with out leaving your home! Lets work on staying together separately and building the next community of gamers!
Round 2 - MLB The Show 2020:
Come join WPRD's second round of the MLB The Show 2020 Tournament! MLB The Show 2020 is one of the most advanced baseball simulation games on the market and it is the perfect fit to fill that sports void during these trying times! Join in on the fun and compete against other people to see if you have what it takes to be a Wilbraham MLB Esports Champion.
This Tournament will be held across 3 days
Wednesday, May 13

Play will be in the evening (around 6pm, 7pm and/or 8pm)
Quick Counts will be used. Quick Counts generates a middle or late count for each at-bat in the game. Gamers will see counts of 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 2-2, 3-0, 3-1 or 3-2 to begin every pitcher-batter sequence. An algorithm is used to establish the counts for each at-bat.
Registration Cost (Corona Virus Rate): $20 per player for Wilbraham residents and $30 for non-residents.
Note: MLB does not support cross-platform play, you can ONLY register if using a PS4 operating system.
Round 2 -Rocket League:
Welcome again to Rocket League, the newest and one of the fastest growing games in the world! You can form your own team of 3 to register or register solo and we will put you on a team. You will need to download the game and get ready to compete playing soccer with rocket powered cars. Winners of the Season will receive the Rocket League Trophy and bragging rights!
Option 1: Sign up as a team of 3 or 4 (3 play at a time, 1 would be a sub). One team member is required to be designated as the Team captain who will be the contact person to et up matches and make sure that the team is on time and present.
Option 2: Sign up as an individual and we will put you on a team of 3 or 4, depending on the registration numbers. We will also assign a team captain who will be the contact person to set up matches and make sure the team is on time and present.
Regular Season Rounds would be Sunday May 17, Monday May 18, and Tuesday May 19
First Round of Play-offs: Wednesday, May 20
Final Round of Play-offs: Thursday, May 21
Play will be in the evening (around 6pm, 7pm and/or 8 pm)
Registration Cost (Corona Virus Rate) : $10 per player for Wilbraham residents and $20 for non-residents.
Registrants need to email Connor Duquette (cduquette@wilbraham-ma.gov) to get a Rocket ID (method to issue invitation to a match).
Rocket League is a cross platform game which allows for competition across 3 different Operating Systems (OS), PC, PS4, Xbox.
